I love the old painting look to this. Very pretty. The bird is so well done. Great background that really brings out the bird. Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.

What a great image you created Moon... The beautiful bird against the well placed spooky stump in the background is a perfect composition . Very simple coloring but it works just fine . A pleasure to view...Dennis

That is a beautiful picture... and very deserving of the ALL TIME BEST honor.
I love how the background is very dreary looking while the bird is nice and bright and full of detail.
Well done.

Beautiful work.
The snowy Egret against the grey/green background - outstanding.
Excellent attention to fine detail and the feathery look on the distal feathers just lovely.
Great story telling opportunity.

This has an almost Japanese feel to it. Very nice indeed. This and the other egret you did, make a great pair. Your use of shadow and light is well thought out. Nice one. Robin

I would have dinged you horribly if you had missed the yellow legs. Very beautifully composed and executed piece. Amazing what a talented person can do with a computer. Thank you for sharing this. Travlin1

I really debated on that, T1. My bird book show them with black legs, but because he is against a dark background, I decided to do them lighter. I have always thought that they do have yellow/orange legs, and I'm glad that you claified it for me :) Thank you so much for the super review!!

this is a beautiful work.I see it as a bird on a full moon night(though moon is not seen)and its also a rainy day.It looks like, moonlight is reflected on water and the background is rainy even the trees look wet and dripping water. The bird is saving itself under a tree, and his feathers, thin white uneven lines gives it a look like, its shivering.
This is very poetic and very very enjoyable and beautiful.
It has very less colours and great brightness and contrast and a realistic look.
The water colour effect looks so beautiful.
Great work.
Good luck for the contest.
Gira.
