Beautiful capture of the undisturbed and natural beauty of the inlet.

The way the sun light envelopes the rich foliage is really the highlight of this shot.

The composition is very crisp and in vivid detail.

Technically sound all around -- lighting, exposure, composition and framing.

Nicely done.

wow! Beautiful photography. It looks like a postcard. Very well composed!! I love these palm trees, the main "protagonist" of the scene. I love the soft colors. It looks like you took this picture early in the morning. I can guess the color of the sunrise on the bottom of the trunks. It's a fabulous picture!!

Thank you for sharing

This is awesome picture and I like how long the details extend from inside to the edges. Good thoughts for innovative view points.

Lovely lighting in this image, with the soft sun setting on the pond fronds. Boy it looks appealing and invitiong. Love the haze off in the distance and it's well composed.

Hi Cleo, this is just lovely. To see "untouched" area such as this is just gorgeous. Great focus and lovely colors. Quintana Roo is one of the most beautiful places I've had the pleasure of traveling to. Your so lucky to live there.

Thank you so much Lynseey, Yes we are lucky to live here but we are affraid of loosing it. The area is in great danger of deforestation and rapid urbanisation especially by the tourism industry.

What a beauty, cleo.

All it needs is the pirate boat swept into the inlet. Though that would destroy the pristine feeling you've accomplished.

The real beauty for me is how you've managed the light and colors of this image to show a warm image of the inlet that appears to have never had a footprint on it.

You'll have to start sending these shots to the tourism dept.

I like especially how the palms seem to frame the edge of the inlet and then the strong, tall trees left of center.

It's as if the sun has found a way to shine through the wall of haze to brighten the trees it can reach, the tallest and most prominent. And then it lightens the shore of the inlet to carry our eyes out to the water - awaiting the short whiskered, good-natured pirate cat to sail in under portection of the shroud of mist.

Extremely attractive photo.

Thank you so much. As so often you see more than others. You are exactly right with "the sun finding a way to shine trough the wall of haze" That is exactly what was happen here. A hazy condition as here is very seldom in our area. The sun will eat the haze fast and give room for a cloudless day. I took advantage of this rear weather condition.
I love your pirate story and I haven't forgotten Captain Shortbart and his deckhand Fighting Bee. I'm just slow.
    Thanks again, Extremely attractive review.

One of your best - or am I redundant in saying that too often. But here there is a special feeling with the view you saw and it's inner glow. You felt this shot with the very marrow of your bones.

Beautiful shot. The softness in the picture makes it look like a mural painting more than a photograph. I love the composition and the colors. Donkeyoatey

The softness was a gift of nature. I took advantage of rear light conditions. We had very hazy conditions with no wind. An extremely rear event in our area.

Very pleasing photograph of an inviting location. Especially since it has been very cold the last couple days here in NC. Overall a very nice job.

The Yucatan had the coldest winter anybody here remembers. We had lows down to the 40 but I know in relation to BC that is warm.
