Density and saturation presents striking effects upon the visual surprises. I like what the golden background shines out. It grabs attention to see what is outside the room.

Really wondeful imagery here, as well as color and light. Great choice of images to merge conveys the feelings you further explained, but even without your explaination one would get the sense of needing to move towards the door and hope.
