this is a very creative image and emotionally charged vision of this lady and her faith. Beautifully composed with thought and care. Love the devotional look on her face as if she is singing. This is such a strong photo, great initial impact. The woman is whole into the prayer, so concentrated in her thoughts, she evens seems like glowing here in the photo. I love the black and white here a lot, gives the documentary feeling. My English is not good enough to express what I see here, so just thank you very much for sharing it and best wishes for the contest.

A wonderful human/faith shot! The intensity on her face and the movement in her lips is great - and it almost looks like you have caught her breath leaving her body! The Icon in the background reinforces the emotional strength of the story, and gives meaning to this photo that otherwise wouldn't be there. And I think the balck and white works a lot better than colour would for this particualr shot. Thank you, cheers, Peta

Initial impact of this pic is HUGE! I love the background and how you soft focused her face against it. The sepia tones softened her face and gave a nostalgic feel to it. The crisp focus of her face enables the viewer to feel the intensity of her prayer. Very creative presentation and excellent lighting. Almost an angelic feel.
