I love this. Many times I have seen them do this. I like the wings of the parents just visible, as a guide for the young.

Good detail and good shot, love the beak.

Good color and high energy.

Thank you so much for your kind review and understanding the nature of it. I got many critics for the unsharpness of the parents and/or the unsharpness of the baby Ospreys wings.

I used to handle raptors and have held adult ospreys on my fist. It is the nature of the bird to move its wings...if they don't get that ,then they shouldn't review.

Thanks for the sharp work on this young one.

Thank you. I'm afraid it is alienation from nature. The closest think the know to nature is a Zoo our Bush Gardens. It seams most people don't understand nature anymore as they don't understand that there is a big difference between photographing a bird, a mammal or even a butterfly in nature or in captivity or between a park and a jungle.

    I agree completely.

    So good to know.

I like the 2 sets of wings but they are unfortunately blurred, especially those of the larger bird. It is too bad that you don't have them both in the photo. Overall pretty good image of the one.

Thank you for your review and suggestions. I appreciate your honest review but disagree. It was inpossible to get both birds in the picture since the flying parent bird was covered by the palm leafs. The wings of the parent is blurred by the DOF since the birds aren't nearly on the same level. It is inpossible to focus on both without flatten the photo shooting zoom in this angle. The winks of the baby Osprey are blurred since he is flapping his wings rapidly in the wind. For me the blurr is adding motion since the focus is on the birds body and head not on the wings.

You don't have to defend your work to me. I was merely offering my observations. Take them or leave them, it is your photo.

Thank you much. I appreciate your observations very much. All to often we get just blalabla. I didn't defend. I,m offering my intentions.

This is an unusual picture of a young osprey learning to fly. I like the environment, with the wings of the parent. The action in the picture is great, and the pose is terriffic.

Thank you so much. Couldn't do much about the blurr. He was flapping his wings rapidly in the wind and toke of the next minute.

You're welcome. I expect you were working at the limit of technological capability.

Oh wow! The point of interest is, of course, the bird. But the light shining through its wings makes it so. It's so beautiful, It looks like a palm frond in the corner so it must be in a tropical place., The color of the sky is very good. And you can see the bird's face very well. Great work.

Thank you so much. Yes it's in a tropical place, near our home at the Yucatan Peninsula, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
Thanks for pointing it out. I forgot to add were the photo was taken.

Thank you so much. I almost think the wings of the parent look even bigger do to the angle and the DOF.
