The light conditions were difficult indeed, but the result is beautiful; I always like the stormy sky and this is spectacular; you're right taking this shot with BW treatment because this enhances the drama; wonderful.

Beautifully captured and so wonderful in B/W. The unusual clouds almost look like the tornado blowing in to Kansas to take Dorothy away. The small swoop of the ground seem repeated in the upper shape of the cloud. A truly great image to look at. At least your friend is now immortalized on FAR-hehehe. Sandy

Thank you Sandy, I appreciate your humorous and favorable review very much. No Dorothy wasn't taken away from the Yucatan. We got wet this morning an a heavy thunderstorm came upon us but the rest of the day was beautiful.

While the weather may not have been idea for the visit it certainly was to your advantage to create this great shot. The clouds and color scale are great and created a beauty of a shot ( combined with your skill of course) Very nice.

This is a very beautiful monotone photograph with excellent black and white contrast and lovely interest and story. Lots of drama and emotion to the sky. Beautiful human form in silhouette. A pleasure to view.

i think your decision was spot on to do this in black and white.
it really shows the dramatic formations of the clouds and the light behind them.
the silhouette of your friend is also awesome.
good job all around.
thanks for sharing...eileen

Black & White photography adds antiquity and some mystery to them. This is exceptionally true here as you have created an almost silhouette of the woman and ground. Excellent background of the sky. Not quite sure what she is doing with her right hand and what she is holding in her left?

Thank you so much for your generous review. As I wrote bin my comments she was trying to get photos of the sky why I was taking photos of the photographer. But I think this isn't important for the photo as the water bottle in her left hand isn't.
