For me, this is actually an everyday scene. Beautiful photograph of an everyday scene for those of us lucky to live south of the border. great entry for the contest too. I wish you all the best.

Very nice photograph!!! I like the shadows in combination with the black and white photo. Unfortunately there were so many people in the background. I would have tried cropping it something like this. Nice job overall!

Thank you very much for your review and input. That's a conceptual controversy we have here. It sure would make a nice picture cropping the suggested way but wouldn't I loose the causality of the scene, the every day touch. I think the people in the background give that 'nothing special, just the same-o-same feel by ignoring/not looking at them. Of curse my way of thinking could be completely wrong. What you think about cropping the left? That leaves the people in but get red of the anoing bright light.

Very nice photograph of the contest. A good conversion into place and white. Best of luck in the contest I like the composition, particularly the use of the shadows. Shirley

A very nice shot of the Mariachi and a glimpse of the street life. B&W works very well here it also symbolizes the old tradition of Mariachi. A well composed photo, thanks for the view.

The black and white for this works well here. I like the shadows showing of the men in the forward motion. Your angle works well for that. Good composition overall here cleo85!

Thank you very much. I used the black and white because of the difficult light. I was shooting into our tropical light in the high of the day. That's a No No. But what does a photographer when she sees these shadows? Violating the rules. It is punished with a touch of pixelation around the upper bodies of the mariachi and to much light on the street.

Nice capture even if there is a blown oud part behind the two walking men. Need to slow and get the righ exposure if in auto mode. This is a new photo and the shadows really make it a winner. Very nice work!

Thank you very much. I have to disappoint you. the blow out is my false entirely. The photo wasn't shoot in auto mode but hand set. [Aperture max. 3, ISO 50,] The photo ass such is a violation of photography. I shoot in the high of the day directly into our tropical light. An absolute NO No. But there was this beautiful scene and these shadows. I admit the speed was relatively high but slower speed and more exposure gives more of the pixellation already showing around the upper bodies of the mariachi. Do you have any tips for better settings in this situation what also avoid these annoing pixellation[flirtation on the edges between light and object]?

A mixed light photo like this might have been a wee bit nicer at maybe ISO 200 0r 400. I never shoot any higher - let me know!

I don't know, I'll try. I never shout higher than 100, most the time less at sunlight. Our light is just to bright and things are build to reflect it to avoid the heat.
