Pretty clever-who could tell? not me -I wondered how you did it, so thanks for the explanation!!kinda gives me chills-it looks so real- the statue is powerful with the mood supplied by the sunset-initial impact is present- good composition and story telling

I read you comments on how you did this. In PS there is actually a much easier way to accomplish this and not lost either photo in PS. Don't feel bad, I did the same thing several times before I learned. Good lighting. There is a real impact with your composition. The story line is, at the end of the day we need to give thanks for everything we have for it is from the Father. Using PS, if you had say wanted to adjust the brighness on the background you could do that. On this photo you light direction obviously is not right. But on something more important you would really need to watch that. Good idea.

You are welcome. Once you learn how to use PS, there will be dozens of neat things you can create.

Even with the two photos you could make many very neat adjustments to keep it from being such stark contrasts.

Well done on your achievements for this image. I love sunsets but for me the statue is a bit too 'in your face'. But hey, you enjoyed doing it and others have loved it. Well done.

Nicely composed and framed. The paste - however is a bit noticeable. The shadows are in the wrong areas - but this was a good idea. Sunset colors are nice but the warmth does not transfer to the subject (too white). Focus on subject is good. Thanks for sharing.

They go very well together. It's very suiting to the background. I would argue however that I could tell that the statue was pasted into the shot. That maybe the only drawback. It just doesn't seem to meld completely smoothly and that maybe because the lighting is different on the statue.

thank you. God is first & the most important thing in my life. I wanted the statue to stand out above everything else. I am not defending my picture. I am just explaining where I was coming from. Thanks for your review.

no that makes sense and I figured that's what you wanted. I was just commenting on it in case you wanted it to be a smoother piece. It's all about the effect you want to create.

Wow, what a great shot. This must have been very inspirational. It's very moving and the sunset (or sunrise?)is magical. Very nicely done, especially considering you were taking the shot into the sun.

You have done an excellent job with this photo. First of all you have captured the vibrant fire of the setting sun enhanced by the dark silhouette of the trees. Secondly you took a wonderful photo of the statue and it works really well standing out so beautifully against the glorious sky.

I think you did a great editing job. Shows creativity and technical know how. Focus is very good. Framing is well done. The only thing I would think of is the lighting on the statue should be darker because of the sun setting behind it, but maybe most people won't notice.
