This is a great capture. I love the color of this bird. And the hues are so complimentary with the background colors. The focus is good. The lines are good with the branches going across the image. The action is implied. Very nice image.

Initial Impact: This is a very nice shot of a Cardinal. I agree they rank very high for beauty. Lighting: is perfect. Cardinal presentation. Color harmony: is good. Center of interest: is that beautiful Cardinal.
Cropping: Very nice. Left some nice breathing room for the bird to maneuver in. Focus: is sharp. Action: Nothing. Depth of field: is blurring some of the background, which is good.
Story telling is in the Title and Artist's notes.
Comments: Just a very nice composition. I like the couple of needles hanging down of its head.

Normally, the background would be cluttered but this pine tree is doing such a good job of adding color, it works well. Nice presentation and angle and composition is very well done.
