A very nice design. I like the colors but feel there needs to be a bit of differentiation. It all kind of blends together. I like the golden angel and the cup. I think the candle in the corner takes a bit away from the picture as well. Sorry for all the negativity.

I think the blue and purple borders over cooks it a little.

perhapos just to much going on and not one thing to focus the eye.

this is really pretty..
would make a great christmas card..
love the purple tones mixed together..and all the elements work very nicely.
also thanks for the little tidbit of info..it is something I never really knew..so at least it might help a little with my humbug spirit...In the US..it seems like christmas is just a commercial holiday for the retailers anymore..
seems like the word tradition is something of the past..yeah, we get out the tree and people put up lights..but its still all surrounded by money...the religious part of it is long gone or so it seems and the family thing is a thing of the past..since if you do get together with your family it usually is a day you spend dreading that you have to do it for about a week prior to the get together..sounds a lot nicer where you are..

Thank you very much. I think it is a bit the same in Norway. But I have a feeling we put more into the preperations. Like gathering all the children in a family to bake coockies. Or make coockie house, that after it has been put together is decorated with icing and a variaty of sweets. The hose is sitting there until Christmas is over, and the same children are gathered to smash it to pieces and to eat it.

I forgot about the gingerbread house..we buy the kit..I'm not much for baking..but one year we built a house and kept it out on the porch in the cold after and a racoon ate it..lol thanks for the memory..

I have my binders on.

When I first looked at this photo I said wow one color in mind and little over done. ok then I read your notes and totally changed my tune. What a wonderful tradition and the photo is very clear and detailed very nice with warmth and texture and of course the spirit of Christmas. Thanks for sharing.
