Great story and super image with a real story to it. Nicely done with creative elements and makes a very nice presentation. Please consider moving the figure to the right so he looks into the photo and not out of it. Still a solid five and thanks for sharing your talent.

Thank you for your generous review. The figure is intentional looking out of the photo back to back with the king in the background but I will take your suggestion in consideration.

Yes the background is as important as the photo of the modern Maya who was originally looking in the direction you suggest. [The same as the king in the background.] I flipped him around. I needed the two images back to back to get my point. The modern Maya is not looking at the image. He don't not any about it. The Background was never part of the original photo of the modern Maya but is made up and added. It is the confrontation of past and present. Wile the king some 1000 years ago Was mighty and wealthy, the modern Maya has no political power and makes barley meets end. The Question for him is were to go now with this glorious past in the background he is looking toward the future. It is not a nostalgic look back in time but a try go forward a better today not forgetting the past. I am not sure how I could explain my attentions better. I'm not born English spoken so I have some trouble to find ther right words to make myself understand.

Interesting image, has terrific story telling ability, particularly with the background, detail and focus is very good, I like the light on the fact and conch in contrast to the rest of the body, well done.

Initial impact great. Background is story telling and interesting. The subject is also well photographed, good lighting, some shadow that I think was intentional. Focus good. Thanks for the very interesting history. It makes one appreciate the photo even more. Great job.

A well organized collage. The background is a beautiful shot and brings the story together with the fellow in the foreground. Clarity is very good and lighting gives this a feeling of the past. Like the written description as well, glad you were able to get the photos.

Great photo, at first I thought that you left too much empty space on the right, but only when I saw a thumb. When viewed in full size it shows great detail in the background that completes the photo., great combination of photos. Wonderful, thanks so much for sharing this.
