Patience pays off. This is a very good shot with a lot of action. You got it just at the right moment. The running bird is very sharp and it is possible to see a lot of good details. The ice on the water is a perfect background. Use of light is excellent and colors are lovely. The wing span is beautiful, and you can almost count the feathers. Lovely composition wit good balance. Good luck with the contest.

A very exciting action shot and I bet you really enjoyed catching this! Nice light and detail. You framed him nicely in the crop and I feel the cold of the day in all the frosty blue tones. He really does look like he is about to pounce on his next meal. His body language says he is all business.

Thank you so very much! I had people stop and ask me what I was doing! I told them and some laughed and some was puzzled, they thought I was crazy being out in the cold for that! I did not and do not care what they thought, this was worth it for me!
