Another one to send a shiver down my spine - great detail on his face and nicely focused with his tongue as well.
Kind of looks like he is smiling at you though which gives him a more sinister look.
Thanks for sharing and good luck!!!

Nice shot here, nicely composed with his head centered (although not normally a fan of that this works because of the background textures filling the frame with blurred design). Of course you probably had to use the flash to get him lit but, as usual, popup camera flash renders a flat look to a shot, maybe some PP to fix the levels and add some depth?

Thank you so very much! What do you mean PP?

Post Processing... using software after taking the photo... do you have Photoshop?

Yes I have photshop and Elements! I croped, adjusted contrast and sharpened a little, nothing else

Since I have had a few run-ins with poisonous snakes, I can only appreciate the clarity, that is, no shakiness to this photo at all! I would have thought it was a poisonous one, as there is some suspicious colors here, but the non elliptical eyes give it the okay. You're right! Snakes provide a valuable service, and will eat the poisonous ones, too. I would advise folks to know their snakes before they kill or get too close!
Great shot, has the eeek factor as well as the great photo factor ~ amazing capture with that forked tongue out!

Great looking shot. Fine example of wild life photography. Your timing appears to be perfect and you have captured the angry look on the snakes's face very well.
Well done!

Excellent lighting great detail. I did not know they had a two tone tongue. Great job with you point of view of the head. Another good idea was to take it the same level as the snake.
