It looks like a still from a horror movie. Even though Christ is on the left eye it's a very dark piece. Which is okay with me. It shows something that really happens so it is necessary.

thank you scarlet for the review. I was going for good vs evil I lightened up the eye with Christ in it but it wouldn't make any sence if I had that side a complete different color. I was going for what scares us when we're in dark places in our lives...our we afraid or do we still feel comfort. I guess I didn't get my full idea across. but I do agree it looks ike something from a horror move lol. this is the second piece I had done the first one was just the eye with a skull which I really disliked because I am far from a dark person if you check out my other works, you'll see that all of them are bright colors, this was something completely different for me.

I am sure the other is in my messages but this is a very differenttype of work for you.I do like the concept od good versus evil taher than a very dark,demonic work.I would have given you a higher rating however,I think there is just too much black surrounding the evil eye.It makes it seem like that is the center of interest of the painting.
Good idea and work and I enjoyed viewing it.

thanks again for the review. Since I did the face in deep colors to highlight the good so called part I had to darken the other I tired not to make it so dark but it just didn't work, they looked too close to the same. so this was the final result.
And as you can tell yes, this is comletely different for me. Thanks for letting me know you like this piece and what I could do better it is really appreciated.

Very clever take on the concept of fear and comfort. The eye brows add to the images you so carefully created for each eye. I also like how you emphasis the fear with a darker area around that eye.. Nice work.

thank you photo 48 for a great review.I had thought about Heaven or Hell for the title, but since some of the artist on here are spirtual in nature but not of the christian faith I decided on a more milder approach to get the same menaing across anyway. thank you so much for the review and support

It is a very creative concept. One can see the one who brings 'light' to the dark in one eye. The skull in the other. Jesus' with his arms wide open is an invitation to reach him and surmount the darkness. Good idea in showing the contrast by darkening the darker side. I see light, because true darkness is what is created by the mind. A very creative presentation indeed.

thanks you so much or the s plus rating on this one. I gave this one a lot of thought. I realy disliked the other piece I did with just theone eye and the reflection of the skull, made me a bit unsettled. this one I like the message i was attemtping to get acrross. i'm glad it worked
