Beautiful Green Heron for the taken! I see no improvements needed in this photo. I feel as if I was up close and personal. Nice lighting & contrast. Great Job!

Green Herons aren't that easy to find, because they blend in with the environmentso well, much less photograph, you did a good job here, detail and focus very good, colors saturated and harmonious,

Thank you so very much! You are correct, they are hard to find. I was fortunate to see one fly into an area as I was driving by. I was able to pull up and see him through the car window! I shot a lot of shots before he flew! I have looked for him and have not seen him since.

You have produced a nice picture. The cropping was done well. The color and lighting are good. The subject matter is sharp. Did you intensify the blue? Thanks for sharing

Excellent image capture. Great focus and depth of field. Love all the texture and the quiet bg. I'm glad you were able to capture some light in this guys eyes, it gives him life. Very good technique. Ty

Max, I forgot to ask, on the far bank is that a fisherman or a stump. I can see something right in the middle but at this size am not sure what it is. If its a fisherman, I hope it's me. Dave

This is a high initial impact image for the clarity of it. Good composition, focus, DOF and light. Good artist notes. Well done. Thanks for sharing. Good luck in the contest.

Beautiful color combinations here and very good detail. The blurred background adds to the sharpness of the bird itself.
