You have put a lot of work and thought into this image. The first thing I noticed were the lovely colors. The greens and blues go really well together. The mix of water and smoke is striking. I think your post processing did wonders to this image. Especially the light effects looks really good. The water drops are nice and shiny, and they really stand out. I think this is a lovely composition, and all the work, effort and time you put into this paid off.

Thank you, the lighting isn't digital, I have this obsession at what different lighting sources and conditions do to photographs.

By reading your notes I thougt some of it was added. Makes this even more impressive knowing it was all done beforehand

This is wonderful, looks like a wee fish slashing into the ocean with the vapour symbolising the waves. Love the color soft and muted with a pop of emerelde green. I'm not going to pretend I know how you created this but I find it very interesting and your notes informative. Fab quirky shot

Very interesting image. I'd be curious about what is a photograph and what is digital art however all in all, this has great depth, clarity (of the drops), potential story telling capability, etc.

Thanks for your review, glad you like it. I don't consider this as digital art. I think that in digital art you create all your elements and effects through digital devices. I take pictures of real objects, use my own lighting techniques, and my camera settings for certain effects and filters. I use digital editing for post to clean up or enhance and put it all together.

You have done a very good job putting all this together. What tools do you use?

My sony alpha 390, macro lens 70 300mm telephoto/macro lens. Colored lighting and gels, laser lights, and picasa for post. And usually shoot at night. Oh, one more thing, I take quite a few shots,different variations... I have to keep adding extra memory hardware to backup, and I use my macbook pro.

Simona , this one takes the cake ! The site should give more options for top stars , You would have gotten it this time ; your technique is great and very interesting ; top marks for that . The hues are so complimentary to your subject , took some time I'm sure , with and without the computer ... I think this one is the best of your work

Thank you for that! I bet it would look cool under black lighting. Any different lighting conditions changes the the outcome. I usually shoot at night, I love what different lighting sources can do!
