The camera management is very well done!

I like the composition angle because it captures the character of this fine gentleman.

So often the portraits fail to capture the essense of the subject but you have done it.

This is a really wonderful portrait! I love everything about it. Derek's expression is just perfect - has some real feeling to it without the usual self-conscious stiffness one often sees in such a close-up. The detail is fabulous, too. Skin tone just right. Love the red accents, too. You caught just enough of them not to overwhelm. I'm sure your son-in-law is very pleased with the results. A winner! Lynnmarie

Love the grey and black bristles in the beard and sideburns - makes him look so handsome! The tie and the rose compete but the tie wins with better saturation. He does have rosy cheeks and long eyelashes. Well shot.
