There seems to be absolutely no consistency about it whatsoever. It appears that since you did not change the baby, other than to sharpen, most people would not call it mixed media.
His blue eyes remind me of my son John's eyes. John is now 47, but he has the same color eyes. However, he had and still has, the longest, darkest eye lashes. My daughter always said it just wasn't fair. You are right, he doesn't look real happy. It has been a very long time since I went through those days, a very long time. Even my grandchildren are well past that stage.

That is what I figured. I see a lot of background changes where the photographer does not call it mixed media, as a matter of fact, I think most of them do not call it mixed media. That is why I find it so very confusing.

This is a very cute baby. You have taken the shot from an interest angle. The blue background gives good contrast to the baby and really helps pull out the baby blue eyes. You have nice lighting. Hopefully, the baby did not spit any of his food at your camera lens.
