A great capture. A wet beauty but nevertheless a beauty. I admire the natural look throughout the photo. The details of flower and water drops ad the colors are as excellently captured. The DOF and the framing are perfect.
[Are you sure that is Hypericum calycinum? I always thought the yellow blooming St. Johns Wood is owner of this Latin name. Am I wrong?]

Hi Cleo, this is a wonderfully encouraging review. I will really try to find that out--about the flower (latin name) may have gotten my notes misunderstood:) It is just a species of Rose of Sharon.

Thank you for your kind reply.
Yes I know, there are so many flowers called commonly Rode of Sharon, Even the Lily of the Valley [Convallaria majalis]. It would be nice if you could let me know what you find out.

Nice shot!
I really like this one! The colors are nice and I really like the water drops! When I was a kid I would catch bees in these blooms! Never got stung!

Thank you, Willie for this delightful review. And the story is such a thoughtful one. I got stung by a bumblebee and sweat bees and wasps, but they just got me for nothing, ha! Well, I did try to touch the bumblebee--it was so brightly colored. I learned that lesson.

Depth of field is good. Nice soft background. Subject focus is good. Detail is good. Saturation is good. I like how there is water on the flower.

I like the way you took this one. The close up and the way you see all the water drops is great. Lighting, focus and overall impression are all excellent. Nice write up too.
