Excellent job. Your notes makes me remember a very popular phrase in Cuba referent to the origens, that say so: 'Here who not have of congo, have of carabalí' (The Congos and Carabalis were African tribes, brought by the Spanish to Cuba as slaves from Africa.) I think our roots must be motive of healthy proud and of thanks. Well done.

I wouldn't apologize for being "on a soapbox" with this subject. It needs to be talked about. The highest poverty rate of any ethnic group in the US is, you guessed it Native Americans. Pictures like this help. I say keep them coming.

I am native indian, SaHawk tribe out of Montana. I love your story and drawing of this part of our History. It makes me sad, when I go out west and see the alcohol busted along the roads near the reservations, due to the lack of job opportunities there. Great job on detail and colors.

I hear ya. I too feel that the American Indians got the short end of the stick all around. Very sad indeed. Anywho, nice portrait. Nice rich colors.

Great view of the prairee and this horse rider, the native American Indian. Very detailed, I like the way you've painted that hair dress, and even the details of the horse. Clarity of colors and textures. Painted with expertise. The composition is superb, using that bright blue sky as the background. Well done.

Nice notes. Even better image. So many textures done with so much mastery. Wish I had more stars. The grass gives a beautiful access to explore the entire image. The watering hole being such a small source of relief in a nearly barrn expanse paired with this Native American's face speaks volumes to your notes. Great Thanksgiving work.
