Details, that's what I like about your art. It's filled with so many details. Moss on the trees, reflections in the water, shadows on the dock. Another very interesting and well done work of art. Thanks for sharing.

The colors are so vibrant in this picture, it just pops out at your. Very nice work on the lines and how straight they all are. Everything just seems so crisp in your painting, like you put so much work into this picture. Very nice. Thanks for sharing

not a painting...its a drawing...done with ink markers on poster and i happy that you have enjoyed this and do appreciate you taking the time in giving me this great reveiw.

Again, another very nice one. The details are good. Bring me some of that boudain and crawfish. The only thing I would say about this one in particular, knowing it's of a girl on the Bayou, would be that I don't remember any of the water ever being blue.

lol now thats brightened my evening. Love the artist notes! Very well drawn and great use of the colour tones to create all the shadows and highlights, you must have a million and one ink markers to create all these different shades! Lovely sense of perspective and your style shines through. Your work is such refreshing piece of fresh air on this site, I always love seeing what you will come up with next

not mentioning names but i have been criticize of the skin to pink and i need to geta flesh marker..i have several hundred pens(all sharpie and bic) and i just cant afford that overpriced markers (72 for $370.00) i can buy a 36 pack of sharpie or bic for $20.00. all my life i have been a poor man who couldnt really afford that rich stuff(something about paying bills and feeding kids kept from that)..lol..i thought long and hard on that critic and came to one conclusion its my style of the poors man art and they dont like , oh well it sucks to be them...lol i am so glad that you have enjoyed this and really do appreciate you taking the time in giving me this excellent review.

Oh welcome to my club! I would love to fork out on the expensive stuff but cant. I was lucky enough to get some proper pastels from Santa this year, the most expensive bit of material I have in my kit. I do notice a difference with them it has to be said. And no worries I look forward to seeing more :)

Really nice. The proportions on this one are really good. I like the detail in the trees and the lily pads on the lake. The perspective of the dock is wonderful and the female form is well done. I know that I said this before... but you have to get a flesh coloured marker or over lay two colours. She looks like a cooked lobster but then I've looked that colour after too much sun...LOL We have our own Cajuns in Canada. Love boudain sausage and soft shell crab. Couldn't get enough when I was in Louisiana. thanks for sharing

you know every artist that is around, here on FAR as well as out there in galleries and the commercial market they have their own style....if i see very rich colors but with dark overtones and of course the conan the barbarian art style, i would know then that was the work of frank frazzeta...if i saw an excess of orange, yellow and red overtones with an action style with good body language art i would know then that was richard corbin,,,if i see an extra pinkish overtones in oil with extra sense of humour about our everday life...i would know that work of Norman rockwell(all refering to skin tones)...i am very please with your excellent review of this work and do appreciate you giving me your time...but skin stays this is part my trademark.

This piece is fairly boring. It incorporates a nice usage of shade but it doesn't look too realistic. Everything looks exactly the same, not like nature. Although this picture may have taken a lot of skill, I believe the artist could have been made the artwork a bit more realistic.

Definitely not! I adore that you are different. It's wonderful! It's just that I thought it was just a little too simple... you know what I mean? But trust me, I can't tell you how much I appreciate you being different.

your piece is done fine but the girl looks a little bit scary though. I guess its the problem with the eyes. The trees ,water n everything else is fine.good luck

LOL. Great graphic. I can see the veggies rimming the Bayou. She's lovely too. SOOOO Louisiana.
I'm always accused of having my characters talk Cajun. Now I can see why. I have the Mississippi delta on my bucket list.
I'd love to hear that talk.

well dahling, we just draw ahwerds a lil bit. You shoulda listen to our suthern bahls talking.(say it the way i typed it) I am originally from the middle of the mississippi delta right where highway 61 and 82 meet. on 15 miles from BB kings home town. as a matter of fact jim hinson of the muppets is from my home town and he made the comment(when he was alive) that he based his kermit the frog character from one of his classmates there in leland,ms. you know i remember after hearng that i started to look around town to see who look like kermit...to many canidates....lol.. i am so glad that you have enjoyed this is do appreciate you taking the time in giving me this great reveiw. Y'all comeon back now ya hear..wink

Must look for Kermits when I get there. Doctor tells me I have to start going south in winter for lung probs. Arizona is filled with folks who don't breathe right already and Florida sucks. I have my eye on Mississippi and Louisiana.

I suspect they're populated with my kind of people. Plus I love swamps.
