This is an interesting posting of a very pretty flower. The effect makes the flower look like it is melting. The colors are nicely saturated. The vignette effect also looks nice.

I like that you are doing these simply to stretch your Photoshop prowess. That's good to see. Rarely do you find photographers who try and delve into the program like this. I would suggest that if you are really trying to perfect your skills check out lynda.com some time. That is a site full of computer program tutorials. As a graphic designer I was required to go to the site and watch a bunch of their videos to learn Photoshop, Premiere... a bunch of programs like that.
Your work here is very smooth, it works well. There is a flow to the composition that is very nice. It is soft, yet still features some good contrast and range of tones. All in all this is a very decorative piece, great work!
