Really excellent photo, right place right time. I don't know how many Great Blue Herons I've seen in my life, but I've never seen one catch a fish.

this is beautiful its dancing , haha congradulations on capturing it.this came out real beautiful.u must have been interestingly close as with the 70-300 mm.i also like on how his mission was accomplished of having the fish inside his mouth.the story to this picture as well,very interesting.

Great capture. Image has good initial impact. Image is well focused and shows good detail. The colors and lighting are good. Nice stop action shot with the water splashing into the air.

This is such a funny shot, Willie, with this heron tiptoeing off with his loot as if you caught him in the process of the heist. Beautiful lighting. Such character, love the protective and guarded wingspan as well as the beautiful Fall tones and reflective richness. Great stilled water splashing up as well as rippled stirrings.
