You have done well both in capturing the bird and the mirror image from the reflection. We get our two birds in the bush (lol) and a winner on our hands. Good DOF. Good composition. Good focus. Beautifully lit capture of this great blue heron! Love the shimmering Fall tones moving across the water's surface as well as the reflective beauty. Nice soft blends behind your focally refined subject.

This is a beautiful photograph that would work well both as a bird image and an autumn image.
You placed your heron (and its wonderful reflection) perfectly, off center but with enough space to see the reflections of the fall colors in the water. The small log he is standing on is an excellent division between reality and reflection.
Your focus is incredibly sharp, I love the detail visible in the heron. Your color is rich but true.
