it is an interesting image.
the eggs seem a little blown out and overexposed, thus losing a lot of detail in the shells.
cant tell if the feathers are photo-shopped but i believe the water is a photo shop effect.

I haven't read the discussion. I am late again. I think if an egg is art account on how it is used; just as the other things what are used in still life's. In the case of your picture it is art. The mixed media treatment turns out to be very sufficient I really like the limitation of color.

Yeah, it is definitely art. The lightning is perfect, the shapes and the background offer an awesome contrast. The added filters enhance it a lot. Good capture.

This is a unique shot and amazingly enough very appealing. Some very subtle coloring in the shadows on both the eggs and feathers. Nicely composed within the frame space. Nice presentation, thanks for the view.

I just love the subject. Often ordinary things give an extraordinary view. My only problem is that because of the post processing the eggs look at little 'flat' which is a shame. The composition it great. Well done

Annie,you're amazing,just from where these ideas come!?! I say, yes this is an art, but it all depends on the viewer itself. I like the bright white colors of eggs and your choice for dark background. Very good composition!

Sure, an egg can be art if the viewer thinks so. I've seen many large sculptures that I thought weren't art, so certainly not a matter of scale. What are the eggs sitting on? Nice work.
