very good story telling. the expressing on the child's face is really telling. The barbed wire is also symbolic of the sufferings.

Wow, this'll be a tough contest to vote in! Even without reading your notes I very quickly interpreted your message of "it is the innocent who suffer the most," and I think this is achieved by the the expression of the girl placed against what appears to be a burning village. Your collage paints an upsetting scene, but one that's not at all uncommon in a war zone -- families (who have nothing to do with the conflict) left without homes, torn apart by flames, forced into being refugees.
Anyway, I think you have an extremely effective composition.. well balanced with the refugee girl vs. the soldiers and bombers, tied together by the cleverly placed barbed wire. Love the smoky feel and the somewhat grainy background to enhance the mood. Color scheme is appropriate throughout and transitions smoothly from the brown to the gray. Excellent work, thanks for sharing!
