This is great. You portrayed Canada excellently. I like the way you placed one player right on the red leaf and the other off to the side. Great facial expression on right side player. Lots of detail, sharp and bright colors. Keep up the good work.

The balance of this creation has the most impact, for me. I am sure there is more Canada is know for but this fits very well as a national symbol. The colors are vivid and I like the contrast as well between the black, blue, and red.

i think im the only american in the contest so far..lol. but i love the action of hockey and the canadians has this as a common sport in thier country where inthe south were tickled to see the white stuff float thru the air stays for more than an hour or 2...lol. thanks for the great review.

Well, I am not as familiar with these sports which are so typical for the north American continent [I was thinking ice hockey is as popular in the US as it is in Canada] I think you got the essence of it here. The essence of both; the Canadian and the sport. I guess the sport heroes are always the proud of any nation. Best luck for the contest.

well cleo the northern part of our country is like canada on that. that sports is trying to take root in the south but you have to remember snow happens once in a great while in the southern part of the states and doesnt stay very long to play in. i just do different sports in a poster art form...doesnt mean they are heros are a fan,,,i do it for the fans..wink. thanks for the great review.

See Mark, I would never ever have guessed this was yours, so there!
However, like your art which is full of movement and well drawn this piece is also. The hockey stick seems long on the guy on the left and the guy behind him the stick seems short.
The only constructive criticism other than the hockey sticks is that it looks smudged on the white part...can't you erase that out and give us a clean flag?
Now, those smudges count as technical faults and for the first time ( in all my reviews done for you )I am deducting points for this...or rather a point.

nope its not the paper and i have cleaned the glass on the scanner several times..i dont know if its in my software...oh well lthats how the web world goes.. makes me feel like i have a better chance of selling at the flea market since my customers can get up close and personal and see first hand...thanks for the reveiw.

I might suggest adding some shadows under them to help give the image more depth and help ground them some. I might even consider having the shadow outline apart of the maple leaf at the bottom to pull it all together better.

Being a major hockey supporter, I appreciate this piece of art. Where I live, we have a Jr hockey team. Players are 16 - 20, and they try to earn college scholarships. A few of our players have made it to the NHL; David Backes being one of them.
