This is an extremely colourful entry into the contest. The transparencies and the overlay of images is wonderful. The image is reminiscent of the Hand of God and the face is truly beautific. Good luck my friend. Cyn

Yes our ability to connect with and be aware of what others are feeling and thinking is a precious gift. And knowing that others can know our minds helps us to feel less alone. Your image conveys the jewel that the mind is, and I guess the strips of dark show how we can then be attached to others. I'm not sure the spirits die.

Are we allowed to use cut and pasted parts of famous artists work to create our own work?
What you did with Michaelangelos creation of Adam is quite fascinating.
However, would you be happy if some other artist cut and pasted parts of your work onto their own? What do you think Michaelangelo would say to this if he were alive?

Thank you very much for the lovely review. You might be right but I never tried to hide the fact it was a copy and paste job. The photo is sitting free on the net and I did not use it as it was. What Michelangelo would have said nobody will ever know. I had my doubts before I used it and appreciate your point of view. I think you are the first one who has recognized it.

I doubt I am the first one who recognized it. It is a very famous work and anyone who knows art will recognize it. I think most people are just too afraid to say anything in case they offend other people with their questions. I am just not afraid of asking questions. I merely wanted to know if we are allowed to do that kind of thing with mixed media?

I will try to find out. I have seen other members using stock photos before, and I remeber I once came with the same question as you. The member did not take it very well. She was furious, but from that experience I understood it was OK to do this.

Fair enough. Thank you for not getting upset about the question. I have had similar experiences to you with sensitive people and found they can get very upset with direct questions.

Excellent work in creating this image. Wonderful color and the star effect sure drawn the eyes to the image. Very good shades of color and the layers seem to work very well. Keep up the good work. Only a few more days till Spring.
