Nice piece here and the background looks nice and solid black to me. I really like the creativity employed for the lighting issue here and it really makes your subjects stand out with a nice glow. Thanks for sharing I enjoyed this work.

This is wonderful the way you took it. I like the way the bears show up on the black. I like the way you just see some color in them too. I like the way you have placed them in the picture. An excellent picture.

I like it very much. I love polar bears. I think they would probably eat me if they were close to me, but still they seem so precious. I like the way your creation looks. I like the colors of the polar bears that you have added. The entire composition is done very well.

Well i'm not sure what it looks like textured, but it looks very good solid black as well. Cool effect and a lovely composition. Howdy-Ron

Hi 4 I AM...the textured backgroud I found was a calibration problem with my comp. It looked solid here but I heard it more than once ... so I hope it is fixed now. Thank you for your comments and your input is very helpful!

I like the subjects and the feel of this image - and from a distance this is a very interesting picture.
Your idea of a black light brings back many memories of days gone by, however it seems to have given an outline, which makes the bears look as though they were a photograph taken out of focus. And just so you know, there are some areas on the bottom of the photo that have blue 'blotches' - not sure if you knew that or not.
Thanks for sharing your ideas and I hope my comments help somewhat.

Thank you for bringing it to my attention...your not the only one..it looked always solid black on my computer, and in other pics as well...so I had to calibrate and I hope that fixed my problem.I appreciate your input, thank you!

there is still some distraction at the bottom of the photo. i personally don't like the blue tine around the polar bears, kind of makes it look like the background was replaced and wasn't blended in good enough.
