Lovely clear crisp shot of the beautiful flowers black and white works well as does the background I like the droplets you have added great subject angle composition lighting focus detail initial impact well done

This is stunning. The focus is tack sharp adding to the drama of the image. Lovely composition and light. Love it in black and white. I wish I could award a 6 but none left.

detail that b&w allows you.
I agree it's painful to turn it over to b&w but sometimes you discover something unexpected

A really lovely, simple yet elegant composition. I'm not a fan of flowers in black and white but you have captured such wonderful textures here that I have to say it works. Wonderful clarity and lovely silvery tones.

Like how they seem to float in the frame.
Good to have two facings, one where we can look inside to the middle, and see how tightly the petals fold in and the other one where the larger petals extend to the side. Together they make a nice composition.
Like the droplets.
Good focus and light.

I sure hope this does very well in the contest. It is going to take a very good photo to beast this one. It is pin sharp with very good lighting. It maybe a little better if you had the stem all the way to the edge.

Thank you very much for the lovely review. This is a detail from flowers grown in a pot and you could not really see a stem. Otherwise I would tend to agree with you.
