This is a great shot! I love that this is so sharp are clear I can see the lines in her feathers. The detail in her eye and face are outstanding. Love the composition. Almost looks like a vignette. Really nicely done!

Willie, you and I think alike today anyway..I posted a picture of a male blue bird that was on my back deck rail this morning and you popped a female cardinal. I just promoted the blue bird with what little promo money I had so it's only up to page 4 or 5..anyway, I like your capture of the female and the clarity of focus..great job and God Bless..

Awesome detail in this little one. The colors work great against that background. I think I can see you in her eyes, lol. Nicely done. I can't decide if I like the stick in the way, but I thought I mention it to let you think about it, since I can't decide. Nice shot. :)

Thank you so very much! The stick is what the bird is holding on to, so there was little I could do about it! Most like it and some are on the fence. I kind of like it.

Ok, lol. I can see her little toes holding on. Let me tell you where I can't decide. It is the top right corner, may be a little more of the stick on the bottom, or may be a slight vignette around so that little piece of the body is darkened and it would also give it some extra on the bottom. That was the part I was stuck at, it is really minimal though, so that is why I said I can't decide. But Boy do I love the beak against the background. It takes my attention away from the stick, which that is also why I couldn't decide. lol. You see my dilemma? Ah forget the stick. The stick is fine. :P

The food in her red beak is a bonus.
The colours of the feathers are lovely.
