Very creative!!! It deserves a 6 (sorry i don't have one).

I love the layered look of the image and the fact that it is in BW.

This keeps you looking around to see things you may not have seen initially.

very nice

I really like your story, it's true but sad. Nice depiction of it in your picture. Very cool how you put it all together. Alot to look at. Good job.

The elements by themselves are interesting, but they don't seem to work well together. The focal point in the middle doesn't balance the image well. The 3 bright lights detract from the animal.

This rating does not count towards story rating or author rank.
The highest and the lowest rating are not included in calculations.

Thank you very much for your review and you input. Did you read the story and my comments? The elements are NOT supposed to work well together. The lights are in purpose merged in. One of the layers I added to disturb. They were regular spotlights in another version, I found to placate. I do not think they are distracting; but I will look into it. This picture is NOT made to be pretty; but make the viewer very uneasy.

I appreciate what you are going. I try to keep my comments focused on the technical aspects of the image, including composition, interest and impact. I can't excuse faults in an image just because the artist points them out in the notes. The chance we take posting out images for critique is that some people won't like what we like. Happens to me enough.

I am sorry that I disappoint you and you dislike my picture. That is a very different matter than technical faults. I do not mine critique on my artistical intentions or my technical work or low ratings at all; but I mean if I am wrongly accused of begging for better reviews and excusing my faults. I do not have faults pointed out in my comments and I am not seeking excuse. My comments contain only the imaginative dream sequence of an Jaguar [not mine!] and the technical data to the collage. Sorry; but what you point out as technical faults are basic conceptional points of mine. These lights are not in any of eight photos used for the city and nature sequences; but theater spotlights from photo #9, a different photo. The are put on exactly the places I intended. If you look at the collage; the lights are triangular around the Jaguar, as if he is on stage. They are completely out of place like the Jaguar himself. Sorry, I think you did not understand my collage, my written story or my reply. There is were have failed completely. I have failed to make you understand the meaning of my work, and there is where I deserve the lowest raiting possible.

I like this collage and its storyline. Your skills and technique have created a very interested image. The use of mono is right as colour would have confused the eye, Mitch

Thank you very much. I agree, colors would be confusing and may would not have worked well together. All layers were converted to black and white before the merge into the collage, seven of the nine layers were taken under different daylight conditions; two of them at night.

Great work here. Love the effect of adding the butterflies which represented freedom to me for the captured leopard. Sad story - but well narrated within the artists notes. Great title too - hope you do well in the competition.

It is always nice to see alternate approaches. Your vivid imagination really speaks here.I also like the gentle merging of the photos which seems to lead the eyes all over the place!

This is a wonderful mixed media presentation. Merger of nine photographs has been done with excellent clarity. Conversion of the images to black and white relates the presentation and translates well to your dream. Good contrast and excellent light effect.
