I love the dancing flames. I can hear a beat when looking at this painting. However I love the extra mystique to water over this one hence the different rating. They're both grwatvand I can't wait to see your other elements.

Thank you very much. I tried to bring those two pieces in contradiction to each other. The [hot] enigmatic fire as opposite to the calm floating [cool] water.

Wow this seems kind of scary. It's actually beautiful, I love the pinks, reds and oranges. I like what looks like the fire. This is very well done, I really like it. Levon7

Oh this is great Cleo - I love the fluidity of the piece and the female form dancing within the flames. I shall look forward to seeing the others in the series!

beautifully created. You have captured the heat and movement well. It looks very passionate and alive. I like the whole idea of a woman appearing in the flames like this. Good luck with the contest Cleo

Thank you Corinna, I appreciate your review and your wishes very much. All the pieces in this series will have dancers in them.

Of all the arts,I find painting human forms is the most difficult. It demands that you know how to draw well, that you have a heightened sensitivity for composition and for anatomy of the person, woman or man or beast! This artwork is visually very appealing, dynamic and demands compulsive viewing as an abstract form.I like it. But I wonder if it meets the contest criteria! Good luck in the contest!

Thank you very much for your thoughtful and throuought review. Thanks also for your kind wishes. I do not know if it meets the contest criteria, but I tought it does. It is nevertheless a painted after a living dancer. [Seems as if I cannot get away from my background]. It is pose common in dance performances. It is a a human form; with what I think are the right proportions, even if it is melting with the flames. The rules say that abstractions are permitted.

Oh! I see. Did't know that abstracts were permitted .Sorry about that. Anyway it is an eye-catching artwork.

I am looking forward to seeing the rest of this series! What a great idea! You have given her a sense of rising the Reds are fiery and seductive, and the whole P's has a secretive feel, like steering into flames. This sense of movement, and flickering as well done, and you have just enough of the darker background showing to make it seem transparent as a real fire is! Donkeyoatey

Thank you very much for those many stars; but what count much higher than any of the stars is your thought and very encouraging review :-)

Her face needs to be a little clearer or defined. Her nose looks too big and round for the face. She should exude beauty. I love the progression of the piece from head to toe and I like the leg out. Great work.

Thank you very much for your kind review and your input, truth I do not understand your point of view. Why should she exude beauty? What kind of beauty, because beauty is in the eye of the beholder only. She is the signification of power, energy, confidence and passion. In my point of view I see beauty in this face, I admit is not even. She possessed above mentioned inner valuables. Beside that; even if I wanted to do so; I cannot change that face or the to big nose, since even depicting a spirit, she is the likeliness of an real existing person with even that face. Changing it would be giving her an face lift without permission.
Sorry I forgot your second point. The face and the body are not more defined in purpose; because even she is painted after a real person; in the picture she is a spirit, thin hot air not materialized. The next one in this series will not have a face at all.

I just think those elements are sensual and appear to be in this picture. Thank you!
