Fabulous composition, just stunning! Love the flower and grass in the f/g leading the eye to the calm water and reflections and then to the deer on the rocks with beautiful pine trees, mountains and cloudy blue sky. Excellent work of art!;)

Contrary to popular belief, digital art is not as easy as people believe. I would much rather take a traditional brush, double load it, and with one stroke make a beautiful flower petal, or a fan brush to create fir trees, or a stipple brush (stiff bristle) to create distant clumps of bushes, or a beautifully soft blending brush to create a glistening lake surface. LOL! But...seeings on my PC nearly 24 hours a day, I try to make the best of it, because I love art. Hey, I'm on your side, MKFlood, and I truly thank you for the beautiful review. I don't think digital will ever have the lasting value of traditional, and I keep wondering what will happen to all the digi artists when PC's become obsolete. Me personally, I'll go back to my brushes and the wonderful smell of oils. :)

lol..i know i have wonder that too..but im still amazed at the final product onsome of these..personally ill admit..i do feel intimidated since not only am i competing with another artist but the computer as well...so when i manage to get lucky and pull off a win in a mix contest i wanna bring out the cheerleaders and marching band..lol..but your right about the lasting value but i would think they would some other forms of data banks to keep over time..but really wont be something you can lay your hands on..still i think you have done a superb job on this compare to many other digitals that i have reviewed..

I like this digital landscape very much.
The foreground with tall grasses, and some bright flowers stands out so well. It looks almost (but not quite) like a photo.
And then the middleground of water with its ripples and varied colors, brings pattern more color and reflection to the image.
The backround is of rocks and trees, and lone animal and a lone bird. Lots of interest here.
The clouds are on show.
nice color combinations.
good balance to your composition.
Good placement of bird and animal.
varied textures.
This is well conceived and realized.
