I really like your pointillism technique. The colours are magnificent. The horses look as though they are much in love in the way their heads are joined. The expressions of the horses are intriguing. I really like the brightness in colour. Great work!

pegsart,
Every color seen in the drawing is a dot. I start with the lightest color dots first and then work into the darker colors. The depth of the colors is achieved by, laying one color against another color or over the color underneath it, in doing so I get a third and forth color both visually and in reality. I was inspired to perfect the technique by some of my favorite artists: like Georges Pierre Seurat, Paul Signac, Camille Pissarro and of course his son Lucien Pissarro.
This drawing is 5 x 7 and took me 12 hours to complete. I am offering it as a signed and numbered limited edition print.
Thank you for your time in looking and writing the review, & the great rating. Your support of me and my artwork is very much appreciated.
Have great day...cheers

Its so nice to see this technique being used again, it really does add something special to the piece. It gives it that dreamlike feel. Im not sure I would ever have the patience to do a piece in this style so I take my hat off to you, you have the patience of a saint lol. It turned out great. Just out of interest how long did this take you?

Comment from Life is but a dream.
Ha, I just reviewed that shot of Carey's and found it as spellbinding as you did Lucien.
I'm quite taken with your pointillism technique of art work. I know your foot took 14 hours...how about this detailed art?
Personally speaking I feel a darker background would have popped out the horses to a greater degree as that bright green background vies for attention, and gets it. BUT, that is a personal opinion, subjective and not right.....HOWEVER, it is also not wrong!
I like the V pathway your artwork has provided for the eye and how it points to the main aspect of the image, to the emotional part, the touching of the two animals.
The blending of the grasses in the pointillism is well done and shows detail...actually, the blending of K throughout shows detail of mane and musculature of animals.
Carey will be delighted.
