Excellent entry for the contest. A very nice illustration of the results of war. Love the transparency and the overlapping of the different photos.
Thanks for sharing with FAR.
Good luck in contest.

Your notes made me cry...his individual story and the waste and horror of war. Your picture has captured this.
You have placed the boy in the middle of it all, surrounding him with his experience. His mouth is open in anguish and terror. Lines and white light emanate from him covering the center area of the picture, helping to connect him with the other pictures, and also increasing the feeling of his response.
I like the blue cover and bits of white, the pictures placed arond him.
We see his experience and the results of his experience. The prosthetics have become his reality.
The dove is a reminder to all of what the world needs.
Good composition.
Like the outlines of the boys face, and detail of his features and hair.
creative work Cleo and
very effective.

This picture take some viewing time to assimilate all the features included in the composition. The young man's face is well portrayed for it is neither anguished nor smiling, but resolved. The most courageous are those who face life, after facing and escaping death.

Very moving work, with a story that brings the viewer to tears. I think the most powerful part if is the bottom left, the legs that are no longer there. Dramatic with an emotional impact which make it a beautiful piece. . Jean

This is just so effective Cleo.
Well balanced combined in such a manner that it is as if you can see his life in one painting. One of the very best of your work.
I really was impressed with your notes as well. They were not only informative but beautifully composed and written.
Everything in this posting is above outstanding. I am enormously touched by your story and presentation. Bren

I read your notes which I must say made me cry. War is terrible and no-one in their right mind wants war. I often wonder what would happen if every army in every country refused to fight when ordered to do so by their politicians - but that does not happen. On the other hand you get lunatics who seem hell bent on involving their countries in war - so what do you do - let them run amok over your country and its citizens. A dilemma for sure. Like your picture which has many areas which draw me in. For example the dark figures of soldiers. Another is the head. Great creativity and very well constructed. Very apt for the contest, so Good Luck in that.

Thank you very much for your throughout and heartfelt review and the high rating and the wishes. I appreciate all of it very much.
No, we cannot let lunatics overrun humanity, but we must make sure that we won't get lunatics ourselves.
