Very striking and attractive image. Roses are gorgeous flowers anyway so a good choice of flower. Like the red and pink tones with many petals outlined in white. The rose is framed by its own green foliage. The background works since you have taken tones from the petals and used those. Actually reminds me of lots of petals strewn around. Very striking and very apt for the contest. Good Luck in that.

I never review for a thankful reply.M a reviewer who reviews the work and comments.That s what I did.And why wold I I give you good ratings depending on your age.It should be depending on your work.

I didn't expect a higher rating because of my age - just a little more respect in the wording of your review. I found it quite hurtful.

I did try very hard. I always do. Just because you don't appreciate an impressionistic work, please don't patronise anyone by saying they should try harder. Maybe you should think before you write. Would you like someone to pass comments like that to you?

Yes I like some one pass comments to me like this.I never get hurt cause of this.Cause they has the right to judge my work.This is how I grow stronger with my work.And i never attack a reviewer,It is quite forbidden,The rule here says it loud.

This is gorgeous. The entire canvas is filled with bright red (or pink) with variation of the texture. The texture of the rose creates silky mood. Good luck for the contest and thank you for sharing.

This is so pretty--I just love it. Your shading on the rose is so subtle abd yet so vivid at the same time. The leafy bg sets it off nicely and makes it look quite realistic. I love the red shading around the perimeter though I might have continued with the leafy bg so it doesn't distract from the center position of the flower..
