Leo the Lion is my birth sign so I always look at images of bit cats. This chap looks like a big softie, although in real life they are nothing but that! I put that down to the soft chalk pastels you have used. Personally I like the effect. Also like the gorgeous tones you have captured, especially the very light blonde colour. Most women would dye (sic) for hair that colour!

Great focus and sharp image. Excellent angle, and perfect compliance to the rule of third. This is just amazing, I like way way, you've painted the texture of the coat, and the prominence of the tiny details of the expression of the eyes and whiskers. This is awesome!

A king of the jungle in pastels and it works!
The upload is OK just the large one is soft which is NOT your fault but the fault of FAR. Did you resize to 700 pixels as that is what Tom told me to do when I complained under "contact us"?
I love cats as well, large and small. I cannot help but remember that Kate Middleton's eyes were this colour too.
I like the detail of this piece and I can see each and every stroke was put with consideration and care and it looks like you put a lot of work into this. The focal point for me are those eyes and they look beyond the frame, past us, into the wild and that is excellent (imho)...I love that look that gives birth to my question "what is he looking at?" or perhaps, what is he dreaming about, the savannah?
Again, your tonal range is very adeptly applied. I personally would have liked to see more mane on the lower right side to really fill in the frame, their manes are massive, unless they are relatively young.
The shadow light gives depth the details on the face precise, love the pink on his nose, is it too bright?
Nice background which doesn't compete with the face.
I like him.....meow!

Thank you very much for your great review. Yes, I agree that he should have had more mane on the right. Unfortunately with the programme I have at the moment I can't resize images. I used to be able to but at the moment with this one I can't. I'll have to get my eldest son to sort me out sometime as he's a computer expert! Suzanne
