I never mind fishermen, it is the speed boats that are awful..especially in the kayak! I like the reflection a lot, and I like the emotive feel of the shot. Might be a wee bit dark on the left, but it sets a great mood. Donkeyoatey

The lazy days of summer are coming to an end, unfortunately. Here in the UK though we have a gorgeous sunny day today. Often see people fishing along the canal which runs past my house but most are on the canal bank. Makes a change to see someone in a boat. Like the composition and framing. Lighting is very good in this shot showing the surroundings in darker tones as compared to the boat, which is much brighter in the frame. I do like the contrasts. Very good focus too.

GORGEOUS, sometimes one will hit you and this does. Not a fan of fishing at all so it is all your fabulous artist's eye for the color and composition. Your color saturation and the HD look is always top notch! But I just am in love with the man's face, perfect statement and great storytelling. I think this is the contest winner! Jean
