This is absolutely gorgeous and you did this out of chalk, amazing!!
I really love her green eyes and how well you did on them, the find details really make a difference.
The colors all go well together and the texture of her fur is perfect.

I love your pastel work here - am thinking of trying pastels, but wonder about all the dust they would make. Do you use a fixative as your work on the image. This is a most beautiful cat with such an elegance and with very eager searching eyes. Colors are beautiful, and your work on the fur is just excellent. What a very unique cat. A pleasure to view.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. Yes, I use fixative (or hair spray if I've run out!) in between layers. They do cause a bit of dust but I spread a bin liner on the floor if I'm inside and have a packet of wipes handy for my fingers, as I do most of the blending with finger tips. Suzanne

Thanks for the tips on pastel work. david f said he used hairspray sometimes also. Fingers are great tools in pastel work I image. I have always loved the way the chalk looks on paper. You can try the markers, and I will need to try the pastels!

Outstanding drawing, love the lynx in the first place and I really like the flow with which you designed and drew this little guy. The eyes are so big and beautiful. That particular shade of green and yellow is very beautiful and rather unique. You can almost see the reflection it would cause in the headlights at night. I think you did a great job with the details the accents of the fur, tassels on the ears, the pinkish red nose, and the multi-colored whiskers. And the background is great colors for making the foreground stand out. Wonderful work of art.
