I wonder what is the population of this town?
How did they hang these flag of nations?
I like the Panoramic cropping.
Overcast but bright lighting.
Sharp focusing.
Thanks for sharing...

interesting photo... a bit of color , red and blue homes sprinkled along the shore ... the grayness of it all speaks to what is true most of the time in Greenland .. thanks for sharing

Wow what a shot, so soft early in the morning with a special ambiance - the clear blue ocean waters is handsome in relation to the ice covered mountain and the stripe of ice free earth with the blue red houses - a shot that looks already like a life abstract - amazing frame - super composition, you are blessed to be there and we are blessed that you share your super journey with us so we become part of it, thank you so much

The is a lot of colour in this image and water. I feel by cropping the water tighter and maybe bring the town in closer would have made the shot more distinctive and give more detail. Saying that it is still a nice shot with snow on the mountains wonder what it would look like in the depth of winter?

Fred,
A great shot of your leaving of Ittoqqortoormiit, the colourful houses scattered across the hillside down to the shore the snow capped mountains behind them & the sapphire sea in the foreground the sun glistening off the surface. Artistic composition beautiful lighting superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Oh yes! This was in your other shot. Fun to see all the bright colors in an otherwise not so colorful area. Love the panoamic technique. Great shot.

This is the most colorful little town. With all that ice you've got to get color somewhere. Great lighting and color. It's framed wonderfully. Your depth of focus is amazing. Well done!!!

What a tongue-twister of a name. As a matter of fact, I find all names in Greenland and Iceland unpronounceable!:)This is a good out door shot! You have timed it well. The light, colour and the composition have worked well. Good effort!

From this angle you can really see the whole city of all the brightly colored homes that sit on the edge of the bay overlooking the vast ocean that lays in front of them. This is such an amazing shot. And that city is so unique and foreign in how it is built to how they survive the long winter months out in the middle of nowhere. And then add in the idea of all the darkness for so long during that time of the year. It's an amazing shot of an amazing place. I think you did an excellent job photographing this. And the snow covered mountain in the background is beyond amazing. And the water doesn't look as dark and rough at the moment. But I bet it really has it's moments.
