My friend, this is outstanding! It is the perfect illustration for today. The colors are right on, as is the insignia. Even the little bump at the top of the hat is included. I am very impressed with this piece of art. Excellent work my friend.

This guy looks lie Dale from King of the Hill Cartoon show. No offense please I like that show. You could have drawn for them. My Dad is a WW2Vet. He is gone now but I have the memories of the times we had.

Well thought out concept to depict PTSD as an anxiety disorder of people who have experienced major traumatic episodes in war, assaults or disasters.
The black sclera and constricted pupils convey that apprehensive feeling of wanting to forget everything that happened in unpleasant manners.
Well, the subject really stood out here as the simple background didn't grab attention from our US Veteran hero.
Thanks for sharing.

Well now that I've read your notes, I totally get it. This poor man is dead behind the eyes, suffering from PTSD. The atrocities that those eyes have witnessed as an army vet don't bear thinking about. Well done.

I think you nailed it with the eyes. Blank and all knowing about the pain within and that of others who don't understand. Very nice expression. Simple, but it speaks volumes. Great job!

You have most definitely portrayed an empty look in this veterans eyes and there is no denying what this represents. The hat is wonderful, good composition and strong initial impact.

I like the subject. PTSD is always something that needs to be heard about. Some just need something more when they come home. Love the design and can not wait to check out her poem. Excellent work MK.
Not sure I like the dark eyes but It fits with the personality of PTSD and provides the dark depth at which you are trying to convey.

I suspect Barb will love it. Sad to see the troubles the soldiers and families have to live with. My son-in-law was injured from and IED in Iraq several years ago and he is still having so much trouble. He and my dau have had to fight so hard to get the treatment he needs. A well created work and illustration that tells the story without words.
