I have seen something similar done before, and perhaps it was even your shot then as well. It is so effective with the two rings creating a heart shaped shadow, and I like very much that this part is so well lit while the rest of the book is sitting in a shade.
Your photo is of course also nice and sharp showing clear and well defined details in both the rings. It is even possible to read the text in the Bible. It is a very good exposure as well, and I like the way you have used the light.
I think the photo is nicely framed and the rings with their shadows are also well placed within the frame. I think this is a really well taken photo, and also a bit different from other still life photos, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you so very much! As usual I enjoy your reviews. I like most all of your still life shots but I keep trying things a bit out of the box. I know I am competing against you and your talent so all I can do now is just wait and see!
