Another brilliant piece of drawing. I am overawed at your skill in showing the interplay of light and shadow! The expression of alertness on the dog's face is remarkable. Thanks for sharing!

seshadri_sreenivasan,
you are welcome, as always!
Thank you for your support of my artwork. I am very pleased you liked and enjoyed my stipple drawing of the Doberman Pincher. The trick is how to make it look representative of the subject, by just using the dots of ink.
Have great week,
Cheers!

Great looking dobbie. The cocked head and pointed ears are the classic look of this wonderful breed. The eyes can look right through you. He is alert and ready for action at a moments notice.
Beautiful work!

FBI Guy,
The time it takes depends on the size of course, this one approximately 40 hours. To me the eyes are what captive you and hold you, if they are right the drawing seems to always work.

Wow! I think I might review all of these, that's how much I love them. The poses are so natural it's unbelievable. This is so great, how long do each of these take??

Another fantastic job. So much character in his face. Great control of light and dark. He looks like he hears something. Really unique technique. Great job!

Very nice facial expression, great color, good lighting and excellent techniques, like the the transparency and moisture in the eyes. Well done.

I think it is perfect. The detail is exceptional just like the other one. You get another virtual six for it. It deserves all the sixes it gets.

Good job on this immediately recognizable Doberman Pincer. Your pointillism technique is excellent. The alert posture, upright ears, and piercing gaze are all perfect. cainse

Unfortunately I never saw the original. I recognize this breed but forget what it is. They seem to have longish necks and ears that always stand to attention! Like the dog's name. Giving human names always makes me smile. I can see on close inspection that this is a pointillism picutre. Very well done and you must have a great deal of patience.

You do gorgeous work Lucien. My husband also does this sort of stipple effect but takes it one step further by colorizing his images. We sell at outdoor festivals. Great detials are seen even though we know they are made up of little dots. Very nice work.

Lucien. I will pm you his site so you can see what he does. Quite different from what you do. Yet the same, if that makes sense. :)
