Lovely capture of the impressive Great Blue Heron with his wings outstretched, clutching a fish in his beak. I like all the different colours in the background reflections on the water. Very good lighting and focus showing a nice crisp image. Great composition. Suzanne

Very good photograph of this bird with its lunch! Do not often see these birds with fish in their mouths and with their wings spread wide open at the same time. I do like the rotting wood in the shot but a pity it is just in front of the bird's wing. Wondering if you had moved your camera slightly upwards or downwards whether you would have captured the wing without the tip of the wood catching it. Still a great shot though. Good Luck in the contest at voting time.
