Haha, great title for this shot Fred! Gave me a good laugh this morning. The title is perfect for the photo. Funny! Pigeons are a problem for statues, monuments, and building all over. I see more pigeons in the center of our little town than anywhere else. Neat shot but its the title that made this one for me! haha

I bet Mr. Vidal would not appreciate the pigeons either. A good view, focus and frame to show the pesky bird in action.

Fred,
A brilliant picture of the statue with the city Pigeon on it's head & his hand covering his eyes praying for it to fly off! Beautiful composition & lighting superb camera techniques with sharp focus.

My laugh for the day...your title is excellent and the image is great !! You have chosen the right monument to capture this bird. Nice study in contrast as far as colour goes. Excellent lighting - good shadows on the statue. The uncluttered background of the very blue sky makes for an excellent contrast for the elements in this image.

This is a great shot, very nicely put together. You know Italian traditions sez that if a bird craps on you it is considered good luck.
We have a huge pigeon population, we set up nesting sites in our sky scrapesr for Red Tail Hawks Good by pigeon, hello majestic bird.

This is an absolutely amusing. I love the title you gave it. The sky makes a great backdrop. The sculpture is beautiful and so detailed. I think the pigeon is quite striking. I love its coloring. They are a big messy pain to deal with though. You've captured the beautiful details of the sculpture masterfully. Great work!!!

Humerous...you are just not right. Great picture Stayed at Hotel Brighton where my 4th floor window opened op to the park and Louvre to the left and could see Eiffel tower ...thought I died and went to heaven. It must be very nice living in a place with such a great history not to mention the cream puffs (Angelinas? something like that...they were killer)

Love the title cracked me up. It fits the expression of the sculpture and the bird seems fine with it. Good lighting and detail. The blue b/g allowing the subjects to stand out
Well framed and thanks for sharing and the laugh
