Excellent choice for the contest. Very different subject matter. The red wool really stands out and becomes the focal point at initial viewing. Love the cat perched on top of the ball of wool, strands of wool engulfing her. The needles look like weapons but the cats are unimpressed and play around them. Great lighting and excellent composition. Good luck in the contest.

Is this a photo of real cats that you have touched up with
software? It almost looks painted. I love the background and it really enhances the kittens.
Cats are my best friends.
Great job, and since we did not get see the first one,
I'm going to assume this one was the best.

Her is a little vote of confidence. This is great. Thanks for telling me that there was three kittens. The layers effect is great. The DOF is almost perfect and the post production work is super good. The kitten looking up has the greatest eyes. The little king of the hill has the look a little tiger ready to pounce on the next piece of yarn that moves. Super scene.

What a pity but from time to time it happens and we are standing back with empty hands, loosing all our creation - this one for sure is beautiful too and we are not knowing how the first was so we are neutral - super color choice, fantastic idea and composition the way you arranged all subject in your frame transmits the playfulness of the kittens with the chosen toy - perfect background creation, beautiful color range, very harmonious and balanced in shadow and light, beautiful work, all the best for the contest

When I saw the title of this, before the image popped up, I almost expected to see kittens actually knitting something! LOL I have to say THIS IMAGE is prettu good too!
Though I feel bad about your
computer breaking down and and losing your first image, believing it was better, I think we all feel that way when that happens! THis work is nothing to be be disappounted about however. I think it's charming! Love how you placed the kittens and created this FUN image.
TEchniques were nicely done your image ctrated a smile on my face.
