I believe in that statement Annie....and this is an affirmation of your photographic eye.
Mundane as the subjects maybe to some, but for me there's still a hidden beauty in them especially that they are still clinging to this tree in this scenic spot but seemingly a road less travelled.
Perhaps this trunk is the least blown by the strong winds.
From a distance, these pine cones look like beehives abandoned by their queens.
The place is a good setting for a romantic flick.
Poignant. Nostalgic. Melancholic.
Excellent lighting, focusing & framing.
Thanks for sharing...

Ha! And a Fine Photographer you are! Why did you not enter this into the nature contest? What I love most here is your POV getting the branches high up in the sky with pine cones. The view is simply lovely. I could sit there all day and just be still. Love the sunlight and the shadows it casts with the trees.
Excellent exposure, clarity and angle. Picture postcard perfect Cara Annie!
Well done!

Really nice. Your photographers eye seems to be still working. The composition and color, sky, etc. are very nice. Imagine, driving through Greece! Thanks for this.

This reminds me of articles i once read about certain pine species - Jack Pine, I think - that can only set seed if fire opens up their cones. Maybe that's how the forests in Greece will be regenerated. Thanks for sharing this interesting scene.

This is a very pleasant image. I like the light here with those shadows on the ground. I also like the 'frame-in'frame effect showing the sea beyond. Very nicely done.
