This wolf does not look that threatening for some reason. Love the natural environment that surrounds him and you have framed him beautifully. Very sharp image showing his facial features and also the texture in his fur coat. Excellent technical skills and initial impact. Good luck in the contest!

Interesting. Like the composition, exposure and focus. Black and white seems to work well here. Maybe would prefer a little tighter cropping, with a more muted background. Good luck in the contest.

Somebody once told me: Colors show the outside beauty of a scene; but black and white will tell the hidden message. I do not know, how much of this is true; but I believe that black and white emphasizes the expression of the wolf and the textures of its coat and in a lesser way the textures of the plants.

I love black and white photographs.
I think the hard part is knowing which subjects look best. I like animals, humans and certain nature settings done in monochrome because they have a more emotive look and feel.
You chose a fine shot of a gorgeous wolf. I like that we get to see your photography skills. All your work mostly starts off with your own photo that you create magical background and layers with. I think some forget that you are gifted in all you do.
Love the concentrated eyes, pose, clarity and fine details.
Well done Cara!

Great looking shot of wild life! The B&W finish gives it an extra appeal in terms of light and shadow effect. Overall, an impressive entry. Good luck in the contest!

I totally agree with you, Annie.. I like my colored photos too;) I mean I do like your photo BUT to have to leave out that it has great natural coloring is lost:( You did do an excellent job though, Annie:) The photo is sharp and has clear details and your can tell that the lighting was perfect and so is your framing;) Thank you for sharing Annie and I think that you'll do great in the contest;)
