Wonderful shot. I am not happy with this happens. The damage only takes hours. But of course we must remember the circle of life. Thanks for sharing.

He will come back and finish the job, ha. He sure has had a good meal out of the leaf so far. Good focus, contrast and detail. Simple but tells a grear story Fred.
Regards,
Robin.

Bad news for the leaf but I bet the snail is a happy camper. Good sharp focus, a clean background and framed to show the after meal details.

The snail created a master piece here Fred. Not much left of this leaf after the snail had it's lunch. Interesting photo of this very holy leaf. Thanks for sharing it.

Datura is known as locoweed and you can see what it did to the snail. I have a seen several leaves of hardwood trees completely reduced to veins and always assumed it was the work of a disease or virus. This is different as many of the fine veins are gone in addition to the leaf material. An interesting phenomenon and a nice record of it.

Loll, my snails never dud that they were eating the borders in a very regular way , must be different kind of snails with an artistic inner vision
A super find, great natural abstract, info that make smile - interesting pattern and wondrous that the leaf still has his general form holding together as if still intact
Super eye fro nature, super presentation, perfect in camera settings and technique, well framed, perfect background choice so we can see the pattern in perfection, well done, thanks for sharing
